A VIP Visits The Boathouse Project

The Boathouse Project is the brainchild of Reverand Graham Rouse who runs joinery workshops for disadvantaged youngsters. The Reverand, who is the priest in charge of St Mary’s, St Peter’s and Holy Trinty church in South Shore Blackpool, runs the workshops supported by local business including F Parkinson Ltd working with the various council and community agencies . We provide 2 tradesmen to supervisor and advise the youngsters who range in ages from early teens to under 21. Today, 6th November,  the VIP was The Archbishop of Canterbury who spent an hour in the workshop meeting the volunteers, sponsors and youngster before speeding off in a Blackpool tram for a ltraditional lunch of Fish and Chips.
