St Stephen’s C of E Primary School officially opened its doors!

The school was officially opened by the Bishop of Blackburn, Nicholas Reade and 10 Imams from the mosque.

To mark the opening on July 15th 2010, a special cedar tree was planted by pupils, Strategic Director of Children’s Services, Gladys Rhoades and Deputy Mayor of Blackburn with Darwin Coun Karimeh Foster.

The new £5.4 million Primary School is now one of the largest primary schools in the Borough with over 490 children on the role.

The Headteacher, Mrs Don said “the new school is brilliant“.
