Isla Be Safe helps deliver Christmas treats to children at York & Scarborough Hospitals

Members of our project teams and our health and safety mascot, Isla Be Safe, delivered Christmas chocolate treats to the Children Wards at York Hospital and Scarborough General Hospital. The surprise selection boxes were given to the children who were unfortunate enough to be in hospital over the Christmas period.

Steve Kenneally, Framework Manager from F Parkinson who is responsible for managing works at the hospital, commented “We have worked with York Hospital and Scarborough Hospital over a period of time and feel that the strong relationships we have built up with the staff is due to the caring nature and dedication that they all portray on a daily basis”.

Joanne Southwell, Strategic Capital Planning Manager for York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust added “Over the past year we have been working with Steve and his team at F Parkinson across a wide variety of projects to improve the accommodation and services for our patients, staff and visitors.  In the true spirit of our Trust’s values, Parkinsons have also embraced our philosophy and always go the extra mile.  It has been a pleasure to work with them and see them today giving something back and supporting the children within the hospital.  This has been tremendous for which we thank you.”.

Lucy Clegg, Trust & Corporate Fundraising Manager for York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust added “We are thrilled by the support F. Parkinson have given the Children’s Ward throughout 2017 and want to say thank you, the selection boxes will definitely put a smile on lots of the children’s faces over Christmas and we look forward to continuing our relationship next year”.

We are currently working with the York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust across all their sites, as part of a framework agreement.
