Walton Hall Park & Zoo

The project brief was to improve the WC provision within the south of the park and to further improve these facilities within Walton Hall by building an extension to the Hall. The new toilets for the Park and improved WC, catering and storage facilities for the Hall are proposed in a new structure built on part of the footprint of the greater part of Walton Hall demolished in the 1970s.

The new two story extension to Walton Hall comprised of male and female WCs and an accessible WC accessed from within, separate facilities for park users will be accessed externally also providing Male/Female and accessible WCs.

In addition, a new family WC building was also built between the Playground and the Zoo which is one of the most populated areas of the Park. This family orientated WC provision is located at the junction between the playground, parkland and by the entrance of the Zoo.

Also included in the works was the replacement of some sheds at the Zoo entrance, with a high quality family WC block, incorporating the hand wash area necessary for Zoo visits.
