Selby Pupil Referral Unit

The project consisted of the conversion of an existing Health Clinic to provide a new Pupil Referral Unit.

The works include the demolition of an existing staircase wing, the construction of a new extension to form a new craft room, the internal remodelling of the existing clinic to provide teaching spaces, offices and additional ancillary accommodation. A new glazed roof atrium will also be created to provide a visual feature in the middle of the building.

The new Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) is a centre for children who are temporally unable to attend a mainstream or special school. The centre is one of the 421 PRUs in England.

Client: North Yorkshire County Council

Value: £1.1 million
