Settle College

The project comprised of the phased refurbishment of various areas of Settle College.

The College remained fully occupied throughout the 29 week contract period. To minimise any disruption the works were programmed into into 3 key phases.

The project specifically consisted of:-

  • The internal alteration / refurbishment works to the Library area to extend the original layout.
  • Refurbishment to the existing science laboratories.
  • Refurbishment to the top floor corridor area.
  • Refurbishment to the music area.
  • The installation of a new ventilation system to “new block”.
  • Refurbishment of the existing dining area, changing rooms, kitchen and conference facility.
  • Alterations to the main entrance area.

A new fire alarm system and electrical distribution system was installed throughout.

External works formed part of the third phase and consisted of alterations to the main entrance, including access ramps for wheelchair users, the forming of a new amphitheatre including seating and a new paved seating area including picnic benches, pergolas and a sun canopy.
