St Michael’s Primary School
The work was to construct a new extension at St Michael’s Primary School to accommodate a new Children’s Centre of traditional build.
The school remained open throughout the construction phase and had major roads close by, with the school playing fields bounding part of the site and retail premises also close by.
Access to the site was restrictive requiring the temporary widening of the entrance . On site there was limited turning space, car parking facilities and a need for a staggered crossing strategy for access route for escorted children.
