Staynor Hall Community Primary Academy

This project consisted of the new build construction of a 235 place single storey primary school on a greenfield site, in the middle of a newly formed housing estate.

The new build was of a steel framed construction with reinforced concrete pad and strip footing foundations complete. All pad foundations were constructed centrally around the axis of steel columns. The main superstructure comprised of a metal deck with brick / block cavity wall construction, insulate roof cladding with battens and slate roofing.

External landscaping and minor highways work was also be included in the works.

This project has received extremely high Customer Survey scores; it achieved an average of 9.9/10 across all questions from both the client and the school end users.

The project also came ‘Highly Commended’ for ‘Best Educational Building’ at the North and East Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards 2016.
