Western Primary School

Due to the success of the school in recent years, the school was operating with the maximum student numbers. This particular project comprised a classroom extension and a series of refurbishments of an existing primary school so as to create more space. Due to the school operating at maximum capacity the works needed to be carefully programmed to allow the school to continue functioning.

Works included:-

  • Building of a new classroom, including  associated viewing balcony
  • Refurbishment of main school hall
  • Formation of new office facilities
  • Refurbishment of school library
  • Replacement of heating system to the school

In order for the works to be carried out and to have as little impact on the operations of the school a new site entrance needed to be formed across school playing fields, this needed to be timed in order that it avoided school sports events.

Due to the nature of the works, our site operations were spread over a number of locations, with liaison with the school being key to the success of this project.
