Oak Ward, Broadgreen Hospital

The works on the Oak ward generally consist of the reconfiguration of the existing offices into a ward. This involves the demolition of the existing rooms and strip out of services to enable the construction of new high spec rooms, furnishings and care equipment. The new ward will incorporate a reception desk along with bedrooms. Additionally single-occupancy en-suite bedrooms which will feature a spare bed for relatives will be created.

In addition to the internal reconfiguration, the project includes the demolition of the existing metal staircase and the construction of a new masonry stair tower to provide a covered emergency exit to the ward.
