Crewe Market Hall
Client: Cheshire East Council
Value: £2.5 million
Crewe Market Hall is a Grade II Listed building that like many markets, suffered from intense high street competition. This project sought to regenerate Crewe and the Market Hall to focus on an artisan offering of high quality traders including fresh food retailers, independent eateries and makers, while also featuring pop-up stalls and events.
The refurbishment has seen the Victorian building’s large archways opened up as entrances and fitted with glazed doors, while external repairs have been made to the brickwork.
The interior has undergone a complete redecoration and remodelling and the existing stalls have been replaced with units more in keeping with the building’s rich history.
