Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanner Suite

The project comprised of the refurbishment of an existing part of the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and installation of a new Siemens Aera 1.5 T MRI scanner, along with the formation of various associated support areas.

The new suite provides a relaxing environment for MRI patients and it has been designed with a dedicated patient waiting area. The new scanner has up to date technology which will provide better quality images to optimise diagnosis and support the clinical decision making process.
